We always take the opportunity to see dancers and musicians at restaurants and other places. It is great fun to see other dancers shake their fringe!

The events listed here are places that have dancers on a ongoing regular basis. If we are missing any events feel free to send us the information so we can share it with everyone.

Orlando - Arabian Nights has Melanie LaJoi doing a pre-show belly dance performance.

Orlando - Epcot has two places in the Morocco section to see dancers. The Mo'Rockin group and Restaurant Marrakesh both have great dancers and wonderful musicians.

The restaurant has professional belly dancing to Turkish music every Saturday night. The first set starts at 7pm. The dancers put on a beautiful, high energy, family friendly show that showcases technique as well as showmanship.
The Turquoise house dancers are Troupe Bal Hepsi's Azeeria, Carina, and Misha.
Troupe Bal Hepsi will occasionally feature guest dancers to showcase Turkish Oriental belly dance.
Directions from Tampa:
*I-4 West to Exit 22, Park Road.
You will pass the giant sign for Days Inn rising high above the interstate as you are on I-4 (between exits 21 & 22). That is your actual destination.
*When you exit on Park Road (exit 22) turn RIGHT onto Park Road, go 400 feet
and then make a RIGHT onto South Frontage Road.
(You are doubling back)
*Follow South Frontage Road one mile and they are located on the left.
Remember, the restaurant is *INSIDE* the Days Inn (where a Denny's used to be).
Go inside the hotel lobby and the door to the restaurant is on the left.
 

Clearwater - Acropolis Greek Taverna & Restaurant, 13575 58th Street N & Ulmerton Rd.  Clearwater, FL 33760 Phone: (727) 538-4273  Fax: (727) 538-4240. On the weekends the restaurant turns into a nightclub after 9pm with a DJ, dance floor and belly dance performances on Saturday night while still serving a full menu. Azeeria from Troupe Bal Hepsi is one of the house dancers!

Tampa - Byblos Cafe, 2832 South MacDill Avenue, is a Lebanese restaurant and market that serves Mediterranean and Lebanese food and has dancers every Friday and Saturday. 813-805-7977.

Tarpon Springs - Zorba's, a restaurant/nightclub at 506 Athens Street in the heart of the scenic sponge docks, has a Middle Eastern dancer Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with a live Greek band, and of course Greek cuisine. 727-934-8803.
Tarpon Springs is Known as "Florida's Mediterranean Village" because of its substantial Greek community and flavor, this town northwest of Tampa can be a destination in itself. "You can spend an entire weekend here, with waterfront shops, sponge boat tours of the lagoons, lovely Victorian homes, and mouth-watering Greek food." Clearwater - The Mirage, a Persian/Mediterranean restaurant at 2284 Gulf-to-Bay, has dancers Friday and Saturday nights, 4 shows between 8 and 10pm 727-724-3604.

Treasure Island - Karim's Bistro at the Thunderbird Beach Resort offers, once a month on Sunday, a 12-course meal featuring Continental, Mediterranean, and Moroccan Cuisine, along with live belly dancing on Saturday nights. 1-800-FOR-BIRD or 727-368-9548.

Treasure Island - Weekly Sunset Drum Circle and Sacred Circle of Sound roughly an hour before sunset till 10:00 p.m. at Treasure Island Beach, Florida every Sunday.
